Stop messing with my emotions woman!!! 🙂 I’m laughing and crying at the same time, this is such a great version and a peek into the future for those of us not yet to experience THE TEENAGE YEARS (gulp!) No apology needed Mrs, I’m pretty sure Kipling would love your take on his words 😉 x

Ha! Lovely comments you lovely lady 🙂
Oh goodness as Mess and Merlot said in two lines I switched from laughter to great painful sadness!! dreading those teenager years- brilliant! 🙂 Lou at http://www.peppermintcove.com #mg
Thank you for your lovely comments. Deep breaths and you’ll be fine 🙂
What a fab poem!! Well done. Oh no, it this what I’ve got to look forward to?! My boy is 10 and starting to show ‘teen’ signs already *sob* Tor x #fartglitter
Thank you so much! Yes, I’m afraid that his grunts are probably on the verge of kicking in!
Love this. Fills me with fear about what’s coming but love this. My music is already getting bounced and they are still in single digits.
That really winds me up in the car – they are constantly on at me to listen to Capital, while I want Absolute or Radio 4!
Gorgeous and hilarious! Oh my, suddenly the terrible twos don’t seem so bad.

Thank you 🙂 The terrible twos are definitely your teenage training ground!
In 6 months we will officially have a teen in our home!!!! OMG!!!! Love your style xo #mg
I’m sure you’ll be fine! They’re alright sometimes…thank you for your lovely comment x
This is stunning! You have managed to stay so closely to the original but have thrown an entire new slant on it all in one swoop. I love the “stoop and build em up with tissues hugs and chocolate”. You really are so very talented! (And I – mother of tiny tots – am now terrified at what the next 10 / 20 years have got in store…. gulp!) 😉 Brilliant xx
Be afraid, be very afraid! Actually they can be ok. Sometimes! Thank you so much for your gorgeous comments – they mean a great deal, coming from such a talented person as yourself. I’ve written another ‘If’ poem to teenagers. I’ll pull that one out at some point too!
Love this! Sums up parenting teens perfectly.
Do parents actually ask their kids for help with putting washing away?! I have never braved this!
Thank you! I ask it I don’t have very high expectations (not that I’d ever tell them that!)
